Binfet Sets Personal Best at North Central

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Trine's Kyla Binfet ran a personal-best in the 5,000-meter run at North Central College's Dr. Keeler Track and Field Meet.

Binfet (West Yellowstone, Mont. / West Yellowstone) ran a time of 17:47.32 to set a personal best by nearly 30 seconds. Her effort was the first sub-18 minute effort in the 5,000-meter run by a Thunder women's track and field runner since All-American Amanda (Portis) Malefyt.

Binfet placed 12th overall in today's meet. She was fifth among NCAA Division III performers competing in the meet.
