Bill Burke was named the first head coach of Trine's bowling programs in November 2016.
Burke became a Silver-certified coach in 2016 and is working toward earning Gold certification, which will make him one of just 30 Gold-certified coaches worldwide. He has been a Professional Bowling Association member since 1991.
“It has been my ultimate goal to coach at the collegiate level and create a winning team,” said Burke. “I began bowling in 1972 and have always had a passion for the game. I took up a love for coaching and became very serious about it after watching my daughter bowl collegiately. I look forward to working with student-athletes and helping them thrive in a sport they love.”
Burke, owner and president of Burke’s Family Bowl and Angola Bowl, most recently served as the head coach at Angola High School, where he led the Hornets to a State Championship in 2015. He has seven years of coaching experience in the high school ranks and has worked professionally in bowling since 1991.
