ANGOLA, IND. -- The Trine University women's basketball team will head to Crestview Hills, Ky. to take on Emory (Ga.) University in a first round game of the 2019 NCAA Division III National Tournament.
Trine (25-2) will be one of 64 schools to make up this year's tournament field after clinching an automatic bid by winning the 2019 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament Championship this past weekend.
Thomas More (Ky.) College will serve as host of the four-team "pod" that the Thunder are in along with the Saints, Emory and Saint Vincent (Pa.) College.
Emory enters the tournament with a 19-6 overall record and finished tied with the University of Chicago in the University Athletic Association (UAA) with a 10-4 mark.
The winner of the Trine vs. Emory matchup will advance to face the winner of the Thomas More and St. Vincent game on Saturday, Mar. 2.
The start time for the game on Friday is set for 5 p.m.
