Annual Softball Players Clinic

Information on the 9th Annual Trine Softball Players Clinic is now available.

The clinics will be held Sunday, Jan. 24 and Sunday, Feb. 21. Campers will have the opportunity to received instruction from one of the top coaching staffs in the nation, as well as interact with current Thunder softball players and receive a campus tour. Cost of the general afternoon session (1:30-6 p.m.) is $85. Catching and pitching sessions are also available in the morning at a cost of $30 each. Catching and pitching spots are limited to 30 players.

There is no deadline to register. Walk-ins may be accepted, but are subject to availability of open spots.

Trine concluded the 2015 season with a 39-5 overall record. The Thunder won its fourth-consecutive MIAA regular-season title, third-straight MIAA Tournament title and appeared in the NCAA Regionals for the eighth year in a row. The team produced two NFCA All-Americans, six NFCA All-Region and eight All-MIAA performers.

Thunder Cheer and Dance Camps

The Trine cheer and dance teams have announced two upcoming camps for children.

Storm Troopers Dance Camp will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 while Little Bolts Cheer Camp will be held Saturday, Feb. 21. The cost of each camp is $35. Those interested in participating in both camps can receive $10 off the price of the Little Bolts Camp. The deadline to register for the Storm Troopers camp is Feb. 1. The Little Bolts registration deadline is Feb. 15.

Storm Troops runs from 12:45 p.m. - 4 p.m., while Little Bolts will run from 10:45 a.m. - 2 p.m. In addition to technique and dance instruction, participants in the camps will receive a t-shirt, memory DVD, snack, entry to the Trine basketball games(s) on each respective camp day and locker room access.

Participation in each camp includes a halftime performance at a Thunder basketball game as well as participation in the team's pregame run-out.

Participants in the camps will also be able to view a preview of Trine University's cheer and dance Nationals routines. The High Voltage Dance team performed routines that won national titles at last year's CANAM Nationals.
