Baseball Holiday Camps
The Trine baseball team has announced dates for the 2014 Youth and High School Holiday Camps.
The High School Holiday Camps will be held Saturday, Dec. 27 and Sunday, Dec. 28. Participants will have the chance to receive instruction from Trine baseball coaches and players. The High School camps are open to any baseball players in grades 9-12. Cost of the camp is $85 and includes instruction from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., lunch, and a camp t-shirt. Space is limited to 28 campers per day.
The Youth Holiday camp will be held Monday, Dec. 29. The Youth camp is divided into a morning session for infield/outfield work and hitting, and an afternoon session for pitching/catching and hitting. Cost is $25 per session, or $40 for both sessions. The Youth camp is open to any youth baseball players grades 3-8.
The camps will be held in Trine's Ketner Sports Center and Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic Recreation Center. These facilities provide ample space for infield, outfield, and pitching drills, as well as indoor batting cages.
Trine has produced 20 all-conference performers under head coach Greg Perschke. He led the Thunder to a school-record 25 wins during the 2013 season.
Softball Players Clinics
Information on the 9th Annual Trine Softball Players Clinic is now available.
The clinics will be held Sunday, Feb. 1 and Sunday, Feb. 8. Campers will have the opportunity to received instruction from the NCAA Division III Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year, as well as interact with current Thunder softball players and receive a campus tour. Cost of the general afternoon session (1:30-6 p.m.) is $85, with the option of adding a Pocket Radar Evaluation Session for an additional $10. Catching and pitching sessions are also available in the morning at a cost of $30 each. Catching and pitching spots are limited to 30 players.

There is no deadline to register. Walk-ins may be accepted, but are subject to availability of open spots.
Trine is coming off their first Super Regional Championship and National Championship appearance in school-history. The Thunder won a school-record 43 games last season and set the all-time MIAA mark for consecutive wins in conference play. Trine has won six MIAA championships and appeared in the NCAA Regionals eight-consecutive seasons under head coach Donnie Danklefsen.
The Thunder produced an All-American, two Academic All-Americans, five NFCA All-Region, and eight All-MIAA performers during last season's run to the National Championships.
