Baseball Holiday Camps
The Trine baseball team has announced dates for its 2016 winter holiday camps.
The 2016 Holiday Baseball Camps for high school-aged players will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Wednesday, Dec. 28. . Both camps will be held in Ketner Sports Center and Keith E. Busse / Steel Dynamics Athletic Recreation Center on the campus of Trine University. Campers will receive instruction from the Thunder baseball coaching staff as well as current players. The cost of each camp is $90. Space is limited to the first 28 campers.

The 2016 Holiday Baseball Camp for youth will be held Thursday, Dec. 29. The camp is open to youth in grades 3-8. The camp is split into two sessions. Session one will focus on infield/outfield work and hitting, while session two will focus on pitching/catching and hitting. The cost of the camp is $30 for a single session or $45 for both.

Last season, Trine produced two all-conference performers. The Thunder also had two players recognized as a conference player of the week. Head coach Greg Perschke has amassed nearly 250 wins in his tenure at Trine.
Softball Players Clinic
Registration for the softball team's 11th Annual Players Clinic is now available.
The clinics will be held Sunday, Jan. 29 and Sunday, Feb. 19. Campers will have the opportunity to receive instruction from the 2016 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year, as well as interact with current Thunder softball players. Players will be drilled in the techniques that have produced the top home run hitting team in NCAA Division III three of the last five years.
Cost of the general afternoon session, which runs from 1:30 - 6 p.m. is $85. Morning, position-specific instruction for catchers and pitchers is also available at a cost of $30 each. Catching instruction begins at 10 a.m., with the pitching session following at 11 a.m. Participants can also receive a free tour of campus beginning at noon.
Catching and pitching participants are limited to first 30 players to register. There is no deadline to register for the afternoon clinic, and walk-ins will be accepted. Pitchers do not need to bring a personal catcher.
Trine won its second Regional championship and advanced to the Super Regionals last season. The Thunder have won five-straight MIAA Championships, including four outright titles. The team produced one All-American, three All-Region honoress and six all-conference performers last year.
