Softball Hitting Clinics

The Trine softball team will be offering a pair of hitting clinics this winter.

Set to be held Sunday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Jan. 10, clinics are open to softball players ages 10 and older. Participants will have the chance to learn the techniques that have produced the top home run hitting team in NCAA Division III two of the last three seasons. Those participating in the camp will have the opportunity to learn from coaches and players that have produced one of the top 10 batting averages in the country the last three years.

Each clinic costs $50 individually. Participants can receive a $40 rate by signing up for both clinics and paying up front. The link to online registration can be found below.

The Trine softball team has appeared in the NCAA Regionals the last eight seasons, including an appearance in the NCAA Division III National Championships in 2014. The Thunder have won a conference title each of the last four years.


Baseball Holiday Camps

The Trine baseball team has announced dates for its 2015 holiday camps.

The 2015 Holiday Baseball Camps for high school recruits will be held Sunday, Dec. 27 and Monday, Dec. 28. Both camps will be held in Ketner Sports Center and Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic Recreation Center on the campus of Trine University. Campers will receive instruction from the Thunder baseball coaching staff as well as current players. The cost of each camp is $85. Space is limited to the first 28 campers.

The 2015 Holiday Baseball Camp for youth will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29. The camp is open to youth in grades 3-8. The camp is split into two sessions. Session one will focus on infield/outfield work and hitting, while session two will focus on pitching/catching and hitting. The cost of the camp is $25 for a single session or $40 for both.

Last season, Trine produced three all-conference performers. The Thunder had two players honored as conference player of the week. Head coach Greg Perschke has amassed 230 wins in his tenure at the school.
